Muppets, English Class and My Strange Friends

When I was about eight years old, my favorite thing to watch was old episode of The Muppet Show that my parents had on DVD in our basement.  For those who don't know, The Muppet Show is basically one of the best television shows ever, and you can learn all about it by reading it's wikipedia page.

Thanks to TMS, little me discovered the Beatles, as well as a lot of other famous people and things from long long ago, but the episode I remember the most was the one where Elton John guest starred.  The show opened on a scene with Elton sitting at a piano in what can only be described as a glittery peacock outfit surrounded by crocodiles and singing his famous song, Crocodile Rock.  I highly recommend you watch it:

Now that I've shared that with you, dear reader, I am going to tell you a little bit more about my infamous 5th period English class.  You might think that, because it's May, the class would be winding down a little bit.  Right?  Wrong.  In fact, it's pretty much the opposite.  We're learning about the 6 types of phrases in the english language.  And the proper usage of the words 'who' and 'whom.'  And how to write a persuasive essay.  And the Odyssey.  Impressed?  So am I.  But that really doesn't make up for the fact that I put in an insane amount of time into my persuasive essay these past few weeks.  Maybe I'll post it here once I finish.  But only if I get an A.

Finally, the last third of this three part post.  (I just combined 3 super short ones.)  As the school year draws to a close, my friends have started creating drama for themselves and those around them.  It seems like a tradition, doesn't it?  There's all this business about who likes who and what people have been saying about each other.  I'm pretty tired of it, honestly.  At first it kept things interesting and since no one was getting hurt or anything I didn't really complain about it, but now it's just starting to get on my nerves.  Just so we're clear, it's not all of my friends I'm having this problem with.  Just certain ones.  And other ones who seem to only have one topic of  conversation sometimes, which is the business with the drama friends.

At this point, I feel like I can't do anything without being judged.  So most days after school I just come home, eat, get absorbed in english homework and spend an hour or two reading my life is average.com.  (An awesome website by the way, I suggest you go there.)  And I try to forget about how my friends make me almost as worried as I am about some of my actual classes.  Sigh.

And sorry for not posting in a while.  I've been trying to work on a 'project' lately... this summer when I actually have free time I want to start a youtube channel, so when I find a free twenty minutes I've started working on scripts and stuff instead of this blog.  So again, sorry.  I have a long weekend coming up, so hopefully I can go through and finish all my half posts sitting around my blogger account collecting dust.

Happy Monday Eve...

Oh, I know... What is it with teachers and cramming in a bunch of random junk before finals?!

Drama... It always escalates during this time of the year... But there's only 11 days of school left (counting the weekends)! It's almost almost almost SUMMER!

I have a ton of old posts I still need to finish too...
